The Concept of Partnership Plan
Partnership Plan builds up programs that partner-institutions with different background and resources may work together to achieve a high volume and high quality of medical services in the specified area. It usually involves primary health care services, specialty medical services, independent third-party services, and intra-institute and inter-institutes quality control processes.
If you are looking for an institutional partner for your institution’s diabetes care practice, or you have the resources and intend for serving others, you are welcome to joint the partnership at Better Diabetes Care International.
Join BDCI for a partnership program
BDCI institutional partnership is based on the needs of medical institutions for their diabetes care practice and service. The needs may include:
- Receiving training services for building up the institution’s competence of quality clinical diabetes care;
- Receiving services from independent third-party medical institutions for clinical image diagnosis;
- Receiving systemic quality control support for their clinical diabetes care from independent third-party medical institutions;
- Receiving supportive services for establishing an independent third-party service for other medical institutions;
- Needs a information management platform service (Clinical Documentation and Management System);
- Needs an AI technology tool for their physicians’ clinical practice;
- Delivering the above services.
The current active programs are as following:
Monitoring of Diabetic Retinopathy for Enhancing General Diabetes Care
Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is one of the most specific pathological changes of diabetes mellitus, which has been used as the reference pathology for defining diabetic diagnostic cutting point (threshold) of fasting plasma glucose (FPG), 2-h post oral glucose load plasma glucose (2-h PG) and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c).
With the development of high-quality non-invasive digital fundus photography technology and quality-assured DR assessment technologies, it will be possible that this critical reference indicator be applied as an important routine systemic assessment tool for general diabetes care, in addition to FPG, 2-h PG and HbA1c.

Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Program for Preventing Blindness
Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is one of the major causes of visual loss nowadays in many countries. In resource restrained areas where monitoring of DR for general diabetes care is not possible, a screening program for sight-threatening DR should be included in the local blindness prevention program.
